Or instead of sitting at your computer telling people to reblog something that isn’t going to make him stop (because cutting is like an addiction, you cannot just stop cold turkey) you could, you know, get him the help he actually needs to help him stop.
See, I don’t get you people here on tumblr. You seem to think that passing around a post is going to make everything okay once it reaches so many notes, but notes don’t make the pain go away. Notes on a post don’t automatically make everything okay. It doesn’t get rid of the mental and emotional illness. It doesn’t get rid of what is making that person hurt enough to cut. That person is still going to hurt after and they’re going to find another, equally unhealthy way of dealing with it.
Reblogging a post doesn’t save someone’s life, getting them the help they need saves someone’s life. You need people who know that person like you do, who actually genuinely love that person, to come together with that person, to get them the help they need to be happier in order to stop cutting the pain away.
